## 作者简介
[Matthew J. Salganik](http://www.princeton.edu/~mjs3/)是普林斯顿大学（Princeton University）的社会学教授。同时他还隶属于信息技术政策中心（[Center for Information Technology Policy](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_for_Information_Technology_Policy)），以及统计与机器学习中心（[Center for Statistics and Machine Learning](https://csml.princeton.edu/)）。他的研究得到过 Microsoft，Facebook 和 Google 的资助，而且已经登陆过[美国国家公共电台](https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/全国公共广播电台)，同时还在[纽约客](https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/紐約客)，[纽约时报](https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/纽约时报)与[华尔街日报](https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wall_Street_Journal)等刊物上发表过。

## 关于本书
虽说本节叫译者手记，但如严复所提的「信、达、雅」，本书还远不及此。不如说是读书笔记。笔记参考[中文文案排版指北](https://mazhuang.org/wiki/chinese-copywriting-guidelines/)，以保证可读性。笔记内容难免有一些笔误，如果发现笔误可以直接对相应文档编辑修改，项目见 [Github](https://github.com/Opdoop/bitbybit)。
